HERE IS A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE YOU CAN USE FOR APPLYING AN IRON-ON STICKER TO A GARMENT
Step 1: Prepare the Garment
- Lay the garment out on a flat, heat-resistant surface like an ironing board.
- Smooth out any wrinkles or folds in the fabric where the sticker will be applied.
Step 2: Preheat the Iron
- Set your iron to a moderate temperature or the setting recommended for the fabric type.
- Ensure the steam function is turned off.
Step 3: Position the Sticker
- Place the iron-on sticker onto the desired area of the garment with the adhesive side facing down.
- Make sure it is straight and centered as per your design preference.
Step 4: Iron On the Sticker
- Place a thin cloth or parchment paper over the sticker to protect it and the garment.
- Gently press the heated iron on top of the sticker through the protective layer.
- Apply firm, even pressure for about 20 seconds, moving the iron slightly to cover the entire sticker area.
Step 5: Cool Down
- Remove the iron and protective cloth.
- Allow the garment and sticker to cool completely. Do not rush this step, as moving the sticker while hot could cause it to not adhere properly.
Step 6: Peel Off the Backing
- Once the sticker and garment are completely cool, carefully peel away the backing paper from the sticker.
- If the sticker lifts at all, replace the backing, cover with the cloth, and re-iron for another 10 seconds, then let it cool again.
Step 7: Test and Finish
- Gently test an edge of the sticker with your fingernail to ensure it is fully adhered.
- Your garment is now ready to wear with its new custom design!
Care Instructions:
- Wait at least 24 hours before washing the garment.
- Wash the garment inside out on a gentle cycle with cold water.
- Hang to dry or use a low heat dryer setting.
Note: Iron-on stickers adhere best to cotton and poly-cotton blends. They may not stick to all fabric types, so always test on a small area first if uncertain.
