How to Apply
How to Apply
Step 1: Position Your Design
Lay your fabric flat and position the DTF transfer in the desired location. Avoid pressing over wrinkles, as this could affect the final result. For tricky applications like hats or curved surfaces, use heat-resistant tape to secure the transfer in place.
Step 2: Press It
Set your heat press to 310°F (155°C) and apply medium to high pressure for 13 seconds. For best results, test a single transfer on your fabric first. Use a silicone platen cover or garment protector to prevent direct contact with the press. If your garment scorches, try reducing the pressure or lowering the temperature by 10-15°F.
Step 3: Peel Cold
Let the transfer cool for a few seconds before peeling off the film. If parts of the design don’t stick, lay it back down and re-press with slightly higher pressure or heat. The great thing about our DTF transfers is that multiple presses won’t damage the design.
Step 4: Final Press
For optimal results, cover the transferred design with parchment paper or a single layer of t-shirt material and press again for about 15 seconds. This step improves the durability and softness of the design while reducing any unwanted shine. For a glossy finish, use a guard sheet during this final press.
Care Instructions for Best Results
- Wash garments inside out in cold water.
- Dry on low heat or hang to dry for maximum longevity.
- While standard settings work fine, delicate settings extend the life of your designs.
